My name is Jessica Lynn, I am the owner and the creatrix of Earth Song
Ranch and most of its products. As of 2009 Earth Song Ranch has been in business for 11 years. I have been involved in "holistic" or
"alternative" (preventative) health and nutrition most of my life which numbers 50 + years, for
both animals and humans. I have owned and been around horses, dogs and
cats all of my life and cared for them "Naturally". Unlike big companies who manufacturer horse products, whose employees don't own horses nor for the most part neither do the principals, I come from a place of horse ownership, understanding, and horse knowledge as do the people who I recommend who provide services or other products. As a small woman owned business I take care of the day to day operations, ordering, manufacturing, packaging, shipping and customer contact as well.
I have spent many an hour trail riding and schooling horses in what has
now become known as "natural horsemanship fashion". There is a subtle
communication between horse and rider once they become a team, and I
have also developed my own communication style with my horses. I avidly
research the nutritional needs of horses, cats and dogs along with their
individual requirements, various supplements, hays and other natural
nutrient rich ingredients, coupling that along with herbs and herbal
blends. Homeopathics also play a roll in our lives as well.
In September 1997 I met a Cornell educated microbiologist/zoologist who
introduced me to equine friendly probiotics and digestive enzymes for my horses,
educating me on why probiotics are important feed additives. In all the years
I had owned horses I had never considered that they may also need
pro-biotics (probiotics), let alone plant based enzymes, because of the way we now
feed them. Hays, for the most part, are barn stored and many of the
fresh nutrients they would receive from grazing on pasture are lost. So
the only way they can replenish them is for us to feed them in a
supplemental form along with a variety of fresh fruits and veges, plant
materials, and seeds.
In 1998 I formed my own company and came up with my own nutrient rich
blends beginning with my base blend Equine-Zyme..then on September 18th, 2004 we launched the Earth Song Ranch Website!
Earth Song Ranch now has distributors in many states, including Hawaii,
Texas, Florida, New York, Colorado, Oregon, Arizona, etc. and I enjoy
the personal contact I have with many of my customers, as well as the
distributors and helping all their horses.We also have vets in several states selling the products.
Over the years Earth Song Ranch has also teamed up with a group of
"Natural-Barefoot Trim" Farriers who believe in keeping horses
barefoot, and sound, who also specialize in laminitic and foundered,
horses, to help them heal. Founder is not a death sentence, it is a
process of healing and is not a "foot issue" but a "whole body" or
systemic issue. We will be giving our customers more information in the
coming year on how to help prevent this insidious dis-order! We can
also help you to deal with the "whole body" issues by looking at your
hay, supplements, and grain rations to prevent laminitis in the first
place.
For 2010 and beyond Earth Song Ranch, is dedicated to, and will continue
working with, a team of professionals who can assist you and your horse
to reach both of your fullest potentials and maintain health and well
being! We are really excited to be able to work with a team of such
great individuals and to assist you and your animals in a holistic and
