- We all made it!
So, we all made it through 2012,
all of the eclipses, all of the things that the nay sayers said would happen,
didn't happen, the 12/12/12, the 12/21/12, the Solstice, the
end of the Mayan calendar, we made it through the holidays, we made
it through no matter what and we didn't go off the fiscal cliff
either! We have traveled far this past year and are now in the
New Year of 2013 filled with new possibilities and wonderful
I do not like to make
resolutions, however I do set "Intentions" and my
Intentions List is in progress - and it will be complete on January
11th when we go in to the first New Moon of the New Year!
There are several things on my list already, and I hope to accomplish
The 11th was also my Mom's
birthday, and I am having a follow up consult with Dr Denice Moffat , on
that day, who is a Naturpath and Medical
Intuitive (she is also a veterniarian) to
start out the New Year right and balance any of my nutritional needs
and or supplements!
How about you? Are you
taking care of yourselves? This is a nasty flu going
around! Time to take a look at your diet, and your eating
One of my intention is to
have more time with my horses this year, which means getting out
there and working with them, setting up my play area and
perfecting all the Parelli games and them
some, so I am also in the process of setting up the area for my small
arena and dream of a round pen in the near future!
Each year I do a consult with Dr
Denice for each of my horses, for my
dogs if needed, balancing their diets as well, had a consult with Dr.
Denice for Destinee
the end of December and have balanced her feed additives, next will
be the other two horsey girls and then a follow up for Destinee with Dr Glen Dupree for her homeopathic
remedies; have also consulted with Dr Wessner for Echo and
her continued progress after oak poisoning from which she
foundered! Dr Wessner made a nosode for her from the oak leaf, acorns, et al,
and we also put her on a homeopathic detox
which he made up for her; six months out she is trotting around the
pasture with boots on! All of these people are such amazing
healers that I cannot say enough good about
them all! They are all listed on my web site under the Contact
For Earth Song Ranch it will be
another year of growth and adding some new products, most likely in
the late Spring, as my horses test out any products before we decide
to sell them. The dogs are also helpful when it comes to canine
All of a sudden I have been
getting quite a few emails on colics --- I
suspect they are being brought on by the cold weather, by horses not
drinking enough, and by them inhaling their feed stuffs since they
need more hay to keep warm and not all horses are free fed hay.
Many of you are in boarding
situations and don't have much control over your horses feeding, but
if you were to give them soaked hay pellets, especially at night,
along with some rice bran, maybe a hand full of bran, a teaspoon
of salt (to encourage your horse to drink) and some EquineZyme it would help to prevent some of
this. Nibble Nets or other slow feeders
like Hay Pillows would
also be a good idea, with an additional flake of hay in their stalls
at night to keep them busy and warm!
Colic means an unspecified belly
ache for the most part, and although it can become quite serious if
there is a twist, the gas colics and many
of the impactions can be prevented with adding the EquineZyme and soaked
hay pellets this time of year along with their hay! The EquineZyme will keep all the good bacteria
in their guts healthy and doing their job to boost the immune system
and the digestive enzymes will help your horses to digest more fully
his feed stuffs and hay helping to prevent gas colic and some
impactions from forming!
Prevention is the key, and will
save you on vet bills that is for sure, and or an expensive surgery
as the case may be!
